In the mind and out of it!
I want to create a wish list… of things I do not know exist or not, and I don’t know will ever…
One of them is a
mind printer!!!
This is going to be a device that would help me a lot…How? Read on!
1. I handle multiple projects together right now and a mind printer would help me print whatever I am thinking at the time when I am thinking… if it works from a distance, then I can print things while I am in the shuttle or walking or driving or doing whatever! So none of my brilliant solutions and ideas and strategies would go unregistered…I can then reflect on them and come up with some better ways to work and solutionize stuff!
2. It would print reminders for me… I remember a birthday 7 days before it, and forget the day it finally comes… I need that reminder
3. It would help me do my quarterly analysis better… I can visualize graphs and charts and bullet points in my mind and lose them in the process of every day dhanda-paani… a mind printer would keep them safe
4. I would be able to compose music and paint and sketch better… I can paint in my mind, but get limited by my knowledge of brush and paints… a colored mind printer would eliminate the need of a brush and paint! I might just become a better cook too 🙂 I would be able to write better… I think about play scripts a lot… this way I would have a place to keep them! and the songs and poems that I think about and forget! and maybe I can be a choreographer too!!! because I am thinking about how would I dance to some songs when I listen to them!
5. It would ease out my brain a bit… (brainbit : Subbu’s blog; see connected thoughts… I really need a printer 😛) because now I would be spending less time in thinking what was I thinking when I was thinking about something that I thought I was thinking about!
And I have taken a big leap in my camera equipment today! The lens, I have been eyeing for a while, was delivered today! It took away almost all of my leftover savings, but I am glad I got it… Enjoy the first few straight from the camera (except the watermark) pictures from it below…
Color, Sharpness, Bokeh, Contrast… everything looks tasty with this new lens. Its not expected to improve my photography, but would improve my photographs for sure… in case you are interested, this is the Canon 24-70 f/2.8L USM lens.
Taking a step back !
I had mentioned it a few weeks back that I was seriously thinking of getting a film camera and after a few initial thoughts, I finally got myself a Canon AE1 Program along with a Canon f1.4 FD Lens…
No longer in production ( for obvious reasons) the Canon AE1-Program was introduced in 1981 and has been one of the more successful cameras Canon has in its kitty !
I have bought it to click some B/W film and do more street photography… Call me strange or crazy or whatever, I am pretty happy that I got it !
A POST One Too Many…
कहते हैं, फिर भूल जाते हैं !!!
Have you seen Johny Gaddar? No? !!!!! You must… one of the finest movies I have seen multiple times in the recent past…
Ok now, mudde ki baat !!!
Friday and Saturday, witnessed an event that I had been working for, for about 3 weeks now… and it turned out just right… with a few minor errors, that I should have taken care of… but never mind… All is well, when it ends well !!! It was a two day workshop for the members of the Process Consulting Group, who are currently in Europe… a total of 25 participants. Had loads of fun with some serious brainstorming…. It felt really good to play an important part in organizing, and participating and getting recognized for what I am… and my team also won a quiz by a considerable margin 😀 ye !!!
Oh, and you can write a compliment NOW in comments and continue reading the rest of the post 😀 NOW!!! :D.. hehehehe…
Though the weekend was super tiring, there was a lot of satisfaction that I was carrying with myself… I should confess that I love attention when I know I deserve it, and have worked hard for it… rest of the times, its not important…
And now introduction to something that I am going to call my own for a long time to come… My new Lens, in fact the second of the two I have bought after I came to the UK…
The first one is the Canon 50mm F1.8 Prime… not many people, who know about dSLRs, would need an introduction to this one… This is a must have in your kit, thanks to its lightweight, excellent optics and remarkable picture quality…
The second one that I bought, came after loads of reading… I wanted to stop using my kit lens and step up to a lens which would give me a wider aperture, and better optics… something that I would be able to use as a walk around lens… And I finally zeroed in on the Sigma 24-70 f2.8 EX DG Macro… This is the closed that I could get to the 24-70L Series at one-third of the price of the God of Lenses… Read at least 500 odd reviews and finally bought the lens about 10 days ago… Did not click much during these 10 days except a few experimentals to make sure that I had taken the right call, and this lens did not disappoint… Beautiful colors, nice grip, and pro looks… It comes with its own disadvantages, but I have a feeling I am not going to feel bad about any of them. This lens looks like something I am going to be very very happy about… Already am, to be honest…
What follows are a few pictures from the New Sigma that I have and then some from the Prime… Enjoy !!!
Let me end the post with another song that I have already for about 3 times while I was writing this post…
And now is the 5th time I am listening to this one… and I guess its going to repeat for another 5… love the happy mood of the song… For your information, the Song is Des Mera by Indian Ocean and is from the Album Jhini…
Optics come at a Cost…
Its been a while I have been thinking… and i guess i have finally decided that I want to spend about 1,50,000 INR for my camera equipment…
no I am not going to do that overnight or in the next 3 months or 6… i mean i don’t really know… but i guess i know which direction to look in… i guess thats important for photography 😛
have a look… i have been looking at these pictures for sometime now… and i wish i can have them sometime..
amen…
that pushes the bike down the list for sure… lens needs to come before the bullet… aargh… why don’t i have enough money?
I am happy… very…
God has always been kind to me… and whenever I have wanted something real bad I got it… I am not sure the wishes of people who care for me help, or my parents faith in my capabilities helped, or my efforts helped, or was it a mix of everything…
I started talking to Bindiya about how i want to be different and not click the usual buildings and flowers… and she said that I could participate in ASK’s initiatives… but i said that I would do it when I would get my dSLR…
I was hoping to get a dSLR, and my slr conked of leaving me without a camera for about 3 months and then Gaurav Narang, another friend, got me my first dSLR, the Canon 400D from Hongkong…
Moradabad happened and went and clicked… and go appreciated for the work i did there… happiness 🙂 unlimited…
and then Bindiya told me about the DGF Photocontest, and i forgot, and then she pestered me to submit my entry… I managed to do that on the last day of the competition hoping that i will get in the top ten…
I did manage it to the top ten and then win the competition too… A small but firm start for me… and a lot of happiness and satisfaction as well…
And today, an article, which is a result of my conversation with one of the ladies in DGF is up on their website… and I am feeling really good about it…
Should i say again.. God is kind to me… Whenever i need it… I get it.. whatever it might be…
Thank you God..
Thank you ma papa…
Thank you Bindiya…
Thank you everyone who voted, got me votes, or saw the poll…
and thank you everyone who cares…
