have not been in the state of writing anything for the last few days…

monday was a very very bad day… i realised that i had been working for over an year and a half at the same salary…and with every growing work pressure… and was not adding any value to myself as a person or a professional…

the only thing i am learning is how to work longer !!! thats IT…

anyway… i am kinda out of that thought right now.. totally no… it would stay till i get what i deserve, here.. or somewhere else…

a true effort was made to get myself out of this mode.. and during the process i talked about creating a website… making a travelogue.. buying a digiSLR… going for a weekend trip somewhere atleast once a month… and the following came out as the next few trips…

the first two in February.. and the next 3 in march !!!!

ok… not writing about this anymore…

1998…. a group of 10 odd guys on the terrace of one of these fellas… and rehearsing a play… they started in the morning around 0900 hrs.. and by the time they finished @ 1700 hrs.. everything had changed… the script was different.. the characters different.. and play much more entertaining then before…

the next day… they moved to FICCI Golden Jublie Auditorium, Mandi House New Delhi to present that play in the college fest.. and as expected it was a success… fun, laughter, tears because of that laughter.. everything was there….

cut to 2006… 28th Jan… i was there on that stage again…

the same stage where I had hosted 2 college shows… almost 8 hours on the stage both times.. and acted once in 1998.. when Ankur Wahal and Taru Vohra (i miss her a lot… at times i wish we were still together… anyway) hosted the show !!!

and the occasion this time… RT eServices completes 10 years.. and IBM-bharti Team was to give a small performance there… minutes before the show, me aditya Lalit and Shubhika were still struggling with the ideas.. we had absolutely no clue wat to do… we had to be on the stage in less then an hour for atleast 20 minutes.. and we had not prepared a single dialogue…. phew.. what a feeling that was…

ok… and what do we do… we decide to do what we were struggling with outside the Audi on the stage itself.. the ideas were good.. they were funny… and we were not able to reach an end point to any of the ideas… so a total disaster was expected… and here is how things turned out just just fine…

no role plays…
no characters…

4 people sitting around and discussing about the time they do not have.. and how they are going to present a skit.. various idea discussed.. funny… what if a Gorkha takes a call in the call centre.. or Shatrughan Sinha asks a customer to shut down his PC… or better… what if Ravana comes and starts taking calls in a call centre.. agent efficiency is going to scale new heights…

it was a blast… everyone enjoyed.. and then i had two small poems which i find hilarious and a ditto response from the janta sitting in front gave as well !!!!

so all in all.. it was a super hit.. and we came out winners !!!! good work Lalit…. Aditya.. Puneet… Shubhika.. and the director/actor… Prashant 🙂

FICCI has been great !!!

4th time i was there.. and i did not dissapoint myself… and somewhere inside me i woke up someone who has enjoyed all his college life doing something or the other related to stage… just wondering what if i had continued that way….

or i had done something that i really wanted to do.. and not what the world thought was good for a computer sciences grad…

where could i have been !!!

here in this office.. typing on a Laptop….

or travelling somewhere.. taking pictures… and sending them back to my editor…

or somewhere on the stage.. speaking dialogues that wake up souls of the audience…

Tushar.. he was the kaneez in the play in 98
Ankur Agarwal… he was in Jamia @ that time.. and continued to be with Sangwari… a small theatre group after i left working on the stage…
Nimisha.. meri choti 🙂 or 2by2 as called by Ankur and the gang…

what beautiful days… i am missing college 🙁
